Math fact fluency is a foundational skill that predicts standardized test performance across a wide variety of assessment items. With Reflex, every student can build the speed and accuracy with math facts required to meet standards and assessments. As an RTI solution, Reflex serves students at all intervention tiers and helps them succeed.

Tier 1: Core Instructional Interventions

Implement Reflex school-wide so all students can develop and maintain automaticity with basic math facts.

Tier 2: Targeted Group Interventions

Use Reflex for targeted interventions with students who lack fluency skills. With explicit instruction and coaching and a motivational experience, Reflex helps students bridge gaps.

Tier 3: Intensive individual interventions

Use Reflex for intensive interventions for students who are behind by two or more grade levels. The adaptive and individualized experience with explicit instruction and coaching maximizes understanding for all students. Daily assessments and intuitive reports help monitor and support student progress.

An independent quasi-experimental design study measuring improvement in basic math operations among at-risk students in a rural middle school found that students showed statistically significant improvement on the Basic Math Operations Task (BMOT) assessment for the general population as well as male and female subpopulations after using Reflex.

Using Reflex with students with disabilities

Reflex is adaptive and individualized and works for students with different needs, skills and goals. The program has been successful in helping many students with specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia and dyscalculia, as well as students with autism and cognitive disabilities.

A student who lacks confidence because he is in my Special Education class, now feels confident in his ability to conquer mathematics since Reflex.
